Agile attitude

Solipaste is run by a agile practioner embracing change already for more than 15 years.

Solipaste – software and stuff since 2012

Solipaste was established in Tampere, Finland by its founder and CEO Jussi Yli-Urpo almost three years ago. During these year we have develops and published apps ourself, coded Android app for a local startup, developed an airfield scenery add-on for Microsoft Flight Simulator X and Lockheed Martin Prepar3D platform, and at the same time extended our mobile app development skills also to iOS ecosystem.

The projects above might at the first look seem random but they have all been fueled from start to finish by passion of building software and experiences to deeply enthusiastic users.

Another common theme in most of the projects have been an efficient use of open data. The data used in the projects varies from weather forecast data to 3D city models and from ground elevation models to country-wide snow cover projections. The data itself is (almost) never the selling point. The focus always stays on the experience that can be created from it. The main qualifying factors for using a particular data sets are quality (accuracy and documentation), freshness, and usability (availability and data format) of the data.
